The PI must be a pre- or post-doctoral student in a graduate program in a related field or a faculty member within six years of PhD, and be affiliated with an accredited college or university (or be affiliated with another major research institution, such as a hospital). The project must be accomplished within a one-year time span. Investigators must be available to attend annual investigator meetings during that period.
